ABOUT
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Media Studies in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at the Pennsylvania State University.
My research centers on the design and effects of persuasive messages meant to promote engagement with health, science, and environmental issues. I am particularly interested in the role of emotion in this process, and my work has focused extensively on political outcomes. I received my PhD in Communication from Cornell University, my MA in Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and my BA in Communication from Aquinas College.
